At Citizens Advice Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale and Trafford, we are lucky enough to have an in-house Personal Trainer… well, sort of!

Michelle works in our Housing Team, and also runs a part time business as a Personal Trainer.
She has been bringing her PT skills to our staff and volunteers, by running weekly 10 minute stretch sessions from a training room in Oldham.
These stretch sessions are recorded live, and shared through Workplace, so colleagues can join in from wherever they are based, or happen to be at that time.

Here’s Michelle, ready to start one of her live stretch sessions!

Michelle says:
I am very passionate about getting people moving more!

As we are all in sedentary jobs, I wanted to use my skills as a PT to empower people to not only get fit, but to see the benefits of stretching daily, and finding ways to move more at work.
With this in mind, for the last 12 months I have been doing a stretch session every Wednesday at 1.50pm. Most of the stretches we do can be done whilst at your desk!

As we have staff and volunteers working across multiple locations, Michelle’s live sessions do more than help our team stay healthy and active. They help people feel connected to colleagues, and part of a team. They encourage colleagues to engage with tech and develop digital skills, and they also help to build a positive work culture.

You can find out more about Michelle’s business by searching Everybodypt on Facebook, Twitter, LinkdIn and/or Instagram.
